In general, these boxes have the same uses as the double slide box; i.e.; for samples, books, catalogues, etc., which ordinarily are sent by parcel post or express. However, they provide more protection for the contents then the double slide containers. They have at least a double thickness of corrugated board on all six surfaces and, therefore, have excellent cushioning qualities.

They are usually comparatively small in size and are manufactured from different grades of material. Any adequate closure is acceptable for shipment by truck or parcel post.
